I’ve started reading comic books again. I think the last time I read a comic book I was around 19 years old. I’ve always enjoyed them, my most memorable was Superman’s death, that was such a big deal when that happened and schocked the community as a whole!

So far I’ve picked up the following:

World of Warcraft Graphic Novel, contains issues 1-7 (I play the game so this was a natural fit!)

World of Warcraft #8, 9, 12, and 13

World of Warcraft Ashbringer #1 and 2 of 4 (this so far has been better than the original series, go figure)

Uncanny X-Men #502 (I LOVED THE X-MEN, that is what started my comic reading revolution as a teenager)

The Punisher War Journal #25

Nightwing #150 (THIS WAS INCREDIBLE)

I really enjoyed Nightwing. I can see myself hunting down back issues on that. Nightwing is Robin from Batman and Robin.

I’m also interested in Ex Machina from Wildstorm/DC and I would like to pick up The Watchmen and Heroes (based on the hit TV show) volumes 1 and 2.

I enjoy reading and the storylines in some of these comics are very very good. The art is also incredible, I wish I only had half as much talent!

My wife is tortured with all my geekiness and she loves it!!!!!!! (I think?) haha

My 2 year old Miniature Schnauzer Sydney has torn a ligament in her leg it seems. She’s been hobbling around it on it for a few weeks now and we just got her diagnosed at the vet this evening.

I’m kinda tore up. You see, this little dog is my world and has brought me joy and satisfaction that I have not experienced other than the day I met my wife.

The vet thinks we are over-reacting a little bit, and we probably are, but as both of us came from broken homes we have a natural paternal instinct to just provide the best care we possibly can to our dogs, we don’t have children, so these are the closest thing to it.

So goes life. I guess I can follow my own advice that I often give people for once:

“Life sometimes throws you curve balls, and you have to have a mitt in order to catch it. If you don’t, it has the potential to hit you in the head”

Life can just really suck sometimes.

It’s only supported on Fedora at the moment, but an Ubuntu version is in the works. I may give this a spin tonight on a spare machine and see how it works out, I’m extremely interested in it. It will be even better once they get it running on Ubuntu/Debian (I’m a Debian zealot)

I see a dedicated monster box in my future if this thing works out good.

Why hasn’t Apple built a home based server yet!!!???
